In 1985, the district passed a $4.5 million bond issue to develop a 135
acre Industrial Park. More recently, the Chenoweth Creek Industrial Subdivision
project was started in 1999 to finish the improvements on 70 acres of
Port property. Over 45 acres of the industrial park have been sold within
the past four years. The available 90 acres of property is ready to be
developed and can be leased, purchased or a combination of the two. The
Port commission is willing to work with your business to make the project
work for the benefit of the district.
Asking prices for the land are $50,000 per acre for the Industrial land
and $75,000 per acre for Commercial and waterfront sites. However, the
sales price or lease rate is negotiable based on the number of "family
wage" jobs created through the project and the overall benefit to
the local economy.
